I have lived in District 119 for 28 years. Both of my children were born in Charleston and went to school here as well. I am running for the SC State House because I am frustrated with the lack of progress made in our district, see our local environment threatened, and believe we deserve better representation.
Our community needs a leader who is a problem solver and has the ability to bring parties together and achieve consensus. My motivation to serve is not fueled by financial gain or a desire for a lengthy 18-year political career, as is the case with my opponent. Nor is it an effort to gain an advantage in my profession, as he has done by electing hundreds of judges to benefit his legal practice. My opponent has had 18 years to bring infrastructure improvements to our district and has unfortunately been unsuccessful. It's time for a change.
My campaign seeks to unite our community in addressing a diverse array of pressing issues—from alleviating traffic congestion and safeguarding our wetlands to managing government more efficiently and advancing mental health advocacy and support. As a former college coach, I bring the experience essential to unite individuals. As a former Asset Manager for publicly traded REIT's managing large commercial real estate portfolios, I bring the expertise necessary to oversee projects and ensure they are completed on time and that budgets are met.
Please join me in this fight for real change. Let’s work together to build a South Carolina that prioritizes the well-being of all its citizens. We are better than the status quo, and I am ready to lead us toward a brighter future. Thank you for your support.
