Meet Brendan Magee

Brendan Magee has spent a lifetime working to improve the lives of others. His tenacity and grit as a college basketball coach (College of Charleston & Boston College) and a successful businessman have prepared him to make the tough decisions in Columbia. Brendan's real-world experience as someone who has run basketball camps for thousands of youths in Charleston for 20 years, worked on Wall Street, and managed large portfolios of real estate, sets him apart from career politicians. As a coach, he has always been able to bring out the best in young athletes. As your State Representative, he will bring the same resolve and determination to fighting for you.

Brendan moved to Charleston in 1991 and lived downtown for three years before taking an opportunity in New York City. He returned to Charleston a few years later and has lived on Johns Island for the past 26 years. He enjoys golfing at the Charleston Muni, Boating the Stono River, and practicing yoga at James Island Yoga. He grew up in the Washington DC area and attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, on a basketball scholarship, earning his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his Masters Degree in Business.
